Just One More To Go

Just One More To Go

When the end of the school year is around the corner, one can't help but look back and wonder, where did the year go?  This year was another great year for Clayburn staff and students.  Together we embraced the challenges teaching and learning with the new curriculum and then we worked just as hard to figure out how to provide specific feedback to students as we work to strive towards individualized education.  Together we strived to provide a well-rounded educational experience that uses a growth mindset to improve, learn, demonstrate and master new skills in and out of the classroom.

As we look towards next year, we plan on using our momentum to build a greater sense of community in the school across all grades with an increase in small group activities based on interest. We aim to increase our celebration and recognition of student achievement in and out of the classroom.  We will be working to create "I can" student-friendly learning targets in all of our classes and strive to incorporate in the indigenous principles of learning on a school wide scale.  In September, you can look for banners displaying the Clayburn Learner profile, based on the acronym R.E.S.P.E.C.T., hallway colours and hallway mascots which will welcome everyone back for another fantastic year.

Just like this year, next year will awesome and although we are all ready for some much needed rest and relaxation, we are already looking forward to get back and getting better.

Have a wonderful, safe summer.
